Meredith To Offer SendMyAd Ad Portal

Press release from the issuing company

NEW ORLEANS, LA -- SendMyAd announces that Meredith Corporation, publisher of a number of leading magazine titles including Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Parents and Ladies' Home Journal, has signed a multiyear contract to provide the SendMyAd ad portal to its advertisers for the delivery and receipt of print advertising.

The all-in-one ad portal will allow advertisers for all Meredith titles to save time and costs by leveraging the power of the web to simplify the submission of ad materials. The solution provides an easy to use personalized site where advertisers can submit, approve, and deliver advertising materials and corresponding job ticket data to the publisher.

Meredith (www.meredith.com) is one of the nation's leading media and marketing companies with businesses centering on magazine and book publishing, television broadcasting, integrated marketing and interactive media. The Meredith Publishing Group features 25 subscription magazines - including Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Ladies' Home Journal, MORE, Parents, Fitness, and American Baby - and approximately 150 special interest publications. Meredith Hispanic Ventures publishes five Spanish-language titles, making Meredith the largest Hispanic publisher in the United States reaching women at every life stage.

The SendMyAd portal allows an advertiser to upload a PDF file of an ad via a web browser, preview, and preflight using an interactive system identifying any errors and suggesting how to correct problems. The portal also provides an approval process for ad materials and job tickets between the advertiser and publisher. Once approved, a PDFx-1a file of the ad is delivered to publisher or printer. The addition of job ticket metadata information into the PDF files lets the advertiser and publisher track ad materials easily, all done electronically through the portal.

For Meredith, SendMyAd ensures that ads received are ready for insertion into its magazines. It eliminates the manual processes of opening the ad, preflighting, presizing, and trimming ads, if needed. If the ad does not preflight correctly, SendMyAd alerts Meredith’s advertisers and, with an interactive preflight report, directs them how to fix the ad themselves. Ads that pass preflight are delivered to the publisher or printer automatically, ready to insert in a publication.
“We are thrilled that Meredith considers the SendMyAd portal as not only a user-friendly service for their clients, but they also have the confidence that our service is robust enough to handle their very busy production requirements,” comments Charles Blanchard, SendMyAd CEO. “With SendMyAd, Meredith advertisers will be able to very easily submit ads, preflight them, and edit them with well-directed, visual instructions. Meanwhile, Meredith’s customer service and ad production departments will benefit from SendMyAd’s efficiencies.”
