Mitsubishi Imaging at GOA

Press release from the issuing company

MIAMI BEACH, FLA - Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc., invites graphics professionals to see the latest, greatest and greenest generation of print products at the Mitsubishi Imaging Booth 1126 during Graphics of the Americas in Miami Beach, Fla., Feb. 26-28, 2009.

Mitsubishi Imaging is sharing Booth 1126 with Hamada of America. Hamada will be demonstrating process color printing on its B452 press using Silver DigiPlate plates.

"Mitsubishi Imaging has always strived to offer products that help our customers profit and preserve," said Frances Cicogna, Director of Graphic Arts Marketing at Mitsubishi Imaging. "Our signature technology - Silver DigiPlate polyester CTP - has a much lower carbon footprint than metal CTP systems. We've redesigned our workhorse DPX 4 platesetter with a highly efficient eco processor that drastically reduces chemical usage and waste. And for 100 percent chemistry-free and processless platemaking, we've introduced Thermal DigiPlate."

Thermal DigiPlate is a revolutionary new flexible CTP plate that is completely processless and chemistry free. Ideal in high-volume environments, the platesetter can produce up to 60 plates per hour and output plates up to 18.1 x 20.7. It is an excellent choice for small printers who want an eco-friendly upgrade from laser and electrostatic plates.

DPX 4 Eco, like its predecessor the DPX 4, helps printers meet the increasing demand for quick turnaround, short-run color jobs. The unit can output 25 plates per hour at 2540 dpi -- automatically. Because it images to the punch, it produces plates that mount on the press in register. This accelerates pressroom make-readies by eliminating the need for several rounds of on-press adjustments.

The Eco1630IIIR is the industry's top eco-friendly polyester CTP platesetter for small-format applications in black-and-white and 4-color printings. The Eco1630IIIR complies with the RoHS Directive, a new European Union standard aimed at making electronic equipment safer for the environment.
