Kevin Joyce to Lead Digital Printing Sales and Marketing

Rochester, N.Y. -- With a focus on delivering the best continuum of digital print solutions for customers' current and future success, Kodak has appointed Kevin Joyce as Worldwide Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the new Digital Printing Solutions group. Joyce, who also serves as a Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company, most recently was CMO of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group.

"From offset printers looking to make their first move into digital printing to print service providers with years of digital experience, our approach focuses on providing customers with solutions for where they stand now and when their digital business grows to the next level," said Joyce. "During these challenging economic times, we focus more than ever on innovating digital print technology to help commercial printers, data centers, direct mail printers and book publishers drive new applications, expand into new markets and create new revenue opportunities."

Joyce reports to Gustavo Oviedo, General Manager, Worldwide Sales and Customer Operations, Consumer Digital Imaging and Graphic Communications Groups and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company.

Kodak's Digital Printing Solutions deliver offset class performance in terms of reliability, productivity, total cost of ownership, and image quality. Color short run and production black and white solutions include the KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Color Platform of presses and KODAK DIGIMASTER EX Digital Production Systems.

The NEXPRESS Platform puts the customer in control of total cost of operation through its operator replaceable components.

Using KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions, NEXPRESS Presses enable high margin color applications and unique capabilities such as Dimensional Printing. Offering a raised or tactile printing effect that provides images with a dimensional feel that mimics the surface of the items in a photograph, the KODAK Dimensional Printing System helps providers stand out from their competition with innovative solutions. DIGIMASTER EX Systems produce personalized documents as well as books, manuals, newsletters, reports, catalogs and presentations.

With more than 40 years of providing continuous inkjet technology for high volume, variable data printing, Kodak's inkjet portfolio will bring continuous inkjet printing into new markets with KODAK Stream Inkjet Technology. Stream Printheads, which install for the first time in the coming weeks at Cyril-Scott Company, enable offset printers to leverage their capital investment while expanding their capabilities to include variable data printing. Cyril-Scott will install four Stream Printheads mounted to a KODAK VERSAMARK DC3800 Printhead Carriage integrated inline with a web offset press.

Kodak's inkjet lineup also includes high volume KODAK VERSAMARK Inkjet Printing Systems for transactional printing and the KODAK VERSAMARK VL2000 Printing System for mid volume color printing.
