vjoon K4 Compatible with Adobe Creative Suite 4

Press release from the issuing company

The vjoon K4 publishing system, with more than 300 installations worldwide, is now compatible with Adobe Creative Suite 4 in the newly released Version 5.9 R8. All K4 modules, including K4 Web Editor, K4 File Manager, K4 Overview, and K4 plug-ins, have been fine-tuned to work with the latest Adobe software, thereby creating one of the first full-fledged publishing systems for Creative Suite 4. vjoon, the company that developed K4, has also enabled its popular Adobe InDesign plug-ins vjoon Notes Manager, vjoon Overset Manager, and vjoon Revision Manager for use with Creative Suite 4.

"Adobe Creative Suite 4 delivers radical workflow breakthroughs and is packed with hundreds of feature innovations to save time while arming an organization with new ways to expand their services and deliver high quality output in the face of tough competition," says Roger Risdal, Sr. Product Manager for Creative Solutions at Adobe. "With vjoon K4, one of the first publishing systems to support this milestone release of the Creative Suite, vjoon offers the publishing industry a powerhouse solution for multimedia publishing."

The company adapted its K4 modules to the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite in record time, within just four months of the launch of Creative Suite 4. Additionally, the K4 Web Editor has been upgraded to run on the brand-new Adobe InDesign CS4 Server, which Adobe released just a few weeks ago. "Our version of K4 5.9 for Creative Suite 4 particularly addresses those K4 users who already employ K4 5.9 and want to quickly update to Adobe Creative Suite 4," notes Product Manager Christian H. Hollstein. "That way, they can gain experience with Creative Suite now, and in the next step up, enjoy all the possibilities of K4 6.0."

Along with bug fixes, this release comes with new installation software that already features the revamped look and feel of vjoon (formerly known as SoftCare), as well as brand-new silent installer technology that makes it easier to roll out the software for large installations. This cuts software implementation costs, especially for first-time K4 users. As part of the adaptation to Creative Suite 4, K4 also now supports Adobe InCopy 's ICML format. Documented by Adobe, this format facilitates links to third-party systems and improves data exchange.
