Web Vision from Lasermax Available

Press release from the issuing company

Ljungby, Sweden -- Lasermax Roll Systems has announced that Web Vision, a digital print quality assurance and production cost control system, is now available to customers in the Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) market. Andreas Nord will take on responsibility as the Product Specialist for Web Vision in the EMEA region.

Web Vision has been successfully installed at various Lasermax Roll Systems customer locations. Today, Web Vision systems are installed and running at several major financial and insurance companies as well as large print service bureaus. Many of these customers have purchased multiple Web Vision systems to ensure quality across all print lines.

Web Vision is an Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system that operates in-line with roll-fed digital printers. Using high-resolution cameras to scan both sides of the web, Web Vision captures and examines images of digitally printed bills, statements and documents, to enable automated analysis of data integrity, image quality, and workflow processes.

The Web Vision system provides automated image analysis immediately after printing, identifying problems as soon as they occur for substantially improved quality of output and processing efficiency. With increasing printer speeds, and the common use of barcodes, it is not possible for operators to perform manual inspections of print quality. The automated, real-time feedback provided by Web Vision can eliminate reprint costs thereby saving on labor, paper, toner, and printer maintenance.

Web Vision dramatically increases overall productivity and efficiency of the print line. The time and cost savings allows companies to increase output without increasing labor or material costs. Web Vision also ensures a better quality product and prevents mistakes from entering the production wokflow.
