Standard Finishing Systems Debuts KAS Mail Inserters

Press release from the issuing company

Andover, Massachusetts (October 23, 2008) Standard Finishing Systems will introduce the Standard KAS Mailmaster 465HS and 465 Compact Mail Inserters at Graph Expo in Chicago, October 26-29.  Mailmaster inserting systems have an international reputation for quick job changeover, superior document feeding capability, touch screen controls, and high productivity. Other features include configuration flexibility for custom applications and optional state-of-the-art optical scanning capability for document security and integrity.

The Standard KAS Mailmaster 465HS handles #10 to 10"x13" envelopes, with a maximum thickness of ½", inserting at speeds up to 6,000 envelopes per hour.  Insert stations can handle a wide variety of material including single sheets, cards, reply envelopes, and booklets.  All feeders are top load / bottom feed, so that they can be continuously loaded without stopping production.  This modular inserting system offers flexibility, durability and ease of set-up via an easy-to-use touch screen.  State-of-the-art optical scanning for document security is also available.  The Standard KAS Mailmaster 465 Compact is a smaller footprint production envelope inserter, that can insert at speeds up to 5,000 envelopes per hour, from #10 size to 9"x12".  The line of Standard KAS inserters are available in a number of configurations with a host of features to fit virtually any office or commercial production environment.

"The KAS inserting equipment line is a good fit with our post-press portfolio, bringing short-run inserting flexibility into established mailrooms" says David Reny, executive vice president, Standard Finishing Systems. "And we also see more printers augmenting their offerings by adding mail services.  The KAS inserter line continues our strategy to bring productivity, performance and savings to every corner of our customer's post-press operations."
