Skywire Software announces PPS 11.3

Press release from the issuing company

FRISCO, TX and SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AAMGA Annual Meeting, Booth #56) – May 19, 2008 – Skywire Software, a leading global provider of software and services for the insurance industry, today announced general availability of PPS 11.3, policy production software designed especially for the needs of managing general agents (MGAs), wholesalers and excess & surplus (E&S) carriers. This much anticipated release is designed to facilitate rapid policy issuance and distribution, letting users design, create and change documents quickly and easily.

Spanning the entire life cycle of an insurance policy, PPS helps MGAs and specialty carriers manage customer communications enterprise-wide - including policy production and correspondence- across all locations and lines of business. MGAs across North America use PPS to dynamically produce real-time documents, such policies, billing reminders, renewal letters and claims correspondence.

"Skywire Software's PPS helps us maintain better communications with our customers," said Lauri Klotz, assistant vice president at Continental Special Risks. "It helps us write business faster, getting policies into our clients' hands quickly and efficiently. And it lets us customize letters and reminders to each client, meaning we can produce targeted messaging to help us market our products and services."

An important new feature includes the ability to dynamically add company logos, agent signatures or state-mandated insurance stamps, giving users the power to strengthen branding on their customer-facing documents. Other new features include:

•    Updated user interface enhances ease-of-use

•    Support for additional paper sizes

•    Auto import of XML files

•    Improved archive compression

•    New barcode support

•    E-signature placeholders in PDFs

•    Over 60 new document automation language (DAL) features

"PPS 11.3 is designed to be easy to use, flexible and customizable by the business user based on input from our customers," said Karin Jessop, product manager at Skywire Software. "It's a reflection of Skywire Software's depth of knowledge and understanding of this industry segment, and of the insurance industry as a whole."

With hundreds of sites installed, PPS is the industry leader with one of the largest customer bases of all policy production systems. According to a recent NAPSLO survey, 67 percent of its general agent members and 62 percent of broker members use Skywire Software to issue policies. In the E&S lines market, Skywire Software is the industry standard. In addition to PPS 11.3, Skywire Software offers the PPS Reporting Tool, PDF and XML add-ons for a complete policy issuance and reporting solution.

Skywire Software is exhibiting this week at the AAMGA Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.  In addition to PPS, insurers can learn more about Skywire Software's new offerings Rating Xpress, a preloaded content solution that includes loss costs and rating rules, and Ingage, a Web-based application that streamlines data capture to automate new business underwriting for insurance carriers.   For more information on PPS 11.3, please drop by the company's booth #56 or visit www.skywiresoftware.com.
