Dual Graphics installs Speedmaster XL 105

Press release from the issuing company

(May 19, 2008) Brea, Ca. Dual Graphics, a fast-growing, full-service printer, has announced the installation of a new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 Six-Color press plus coater. The XL 105 is the most automated production press available today for sheet-fed lithography.

“We researched all of the equipment and technology available to match our current work flow with the growing needs of our clients,” said Jim Joyce, CEO. “The XL 105 not only met but exceeded the criteria that we identified as most important to meeting the growing demands for short press runs that target precision direct mail and long runs that yield up to 18,000 sheets per hour.”

The 105 is accompanied by Prinect CP2000 Center workflow management system, which provides a higher level of integration between pre- and post-press operations than previously existed and complements Dual’s highly skilled and experienced work force. Furthermore, the accommodation of a larger maximum paper size and thickness has opened the door to a largely untapped packaging market and another array of Dual products.
