Neenah Paper Updates SUNDANCE Paper Collection

Press release from the issuing company

ALPHARETTA, GA. (May 8, 2008) - Take a new look at the recently updated SUNDANCE Paper Collection from Neenah Paper. Finally there's an inspiring paper that delivers performance, quality, color and finish options, all at a price that fits a limited budget. This Writing, Text and Cover grade with a Southwestern flavor has a long heritage of offering superior value to designers and printers. As part of its recent update, this dependable and hardworking gradeline has been appropriately dubbed the Practical Choice. With a fresh new color palette available in three finishes, it can be your preference for a value-priced paper. Matching envelopes, an unwatermarked Writing weight and Green Seal Certification round out the complement.

The western-themed swatchbook shows the updated colors including four rich earth-tone accent colors. And with a total of four whites, the collection is well suited for business applications. Two new fiber-enhanced lighter colors are perfect for those instances when the quality of the imagery is marginal, something the paper can camouflage, or if the customer prefers the recycled nature of the paper to be more visible.

One reason this paper is so versatile is that all 10 colors are available in three different finishes: Smooth, Felt and Linen. Combining finishes or colors can make a more interesting campaign or presentation, adding depth and interest.
Greg Maze, senior brand manager at Neenah Paper, directed the brand revision.

"Many of our customers have been specifying paper long enough to know that sometimes cost is a consideration. We felt that by freshening up a proven, value-priced gradeline, we could provide a quality paper that satisfies budget concerns while offering performance a printer demands," says Maze.

When it comes to performance, this paper can deliver. Foil stamping, embossing, metallic inks, halftones and 4-color process, are all demonstrated in the many print samples inside the new swatchbook and coordinating promotion.

"There wasn't a single challenge I could put to this paper that it couldn't handle," says Ellie McKenzie of Farmhouse Design, designer of the swatchbook and promotion. "The ink holdout is amazing, not only on the Felt and Smooth finishes, but on the new Linen finish as well. That was a surprise. The newly added pattern worked really well with the images we selected.  Even the images we printed on the richer colors turned out exactly as we had envisioned them, and the inks really pop."

All of the papers in the SUNDANCE Paper Collection are Green Seal Certified, which means that they are made with a minimum of 30 percent post consumer fiber and that the mill processes, including packaging, are environmentally preferable.
