Wausau Updates Royal Line of Fine Writing, Text, and Cover Papers

MOSINEE, Wis. May 06, 2008 --Wausau Paper today announced the launch of its Royal Redefined marketing campaign promoting enhancements to its Royal brand of premium writing, text, and cover papers. Seven of the eight lines in the Royal brand have been updated including many new colors, weights, and finishes. With these enhancements to the Royal line, Wausau Paper now offers in a single brand one of the most extensive ranges of affordably-priced environmentally responsible writing, text, and cover grades in the industry, further cementing the company's leadership role in high-quality colored papers.

"Our Royal brand of writing, text, and cover grades has long been a favorite of graphic designers for premium end applications," commented Thomas J. Howatt, Wausau Paper president and chief executive officer. "Our refresh of this highly successful product line demonstrates our continuing commitment to the premium uncoated paper market. Bringing focus to our core premium grades is also a key element of the Profit Recovery Plan for our Printing & Writing business that we announced in October. Additionally, these enhancements to our Royal line demonstrate the emphasis we place on the manufacture of sustainable environmentally preferable products in each of our businesses." All Wausau Paper Royal grades are Forest Stewardship Council certified and more than 90 percent contain 30 percent or greater recycled post-consumer fiber content and are Green Seal-certified.
