May 06, 2008 -- CC1, Inc. recently completed the third installation of its new eXaminer II Automatic Register Control System for four-color commercial and newspaper printing. 

The eXaminer II, officially released in 2008, represents CC1's next generation of Automatic Register Control technology.   It features new compact Smart Cameras in an easy fit 4" x 4" x 3.5" inch housing.  Fully distributed, eXaminer II's on-board processing means each camera not only takes pictures but also analyzes each image and measures register variation resulting in an incremental increase in speed of processing.   The system has also been released with a new LED lighting design with proprietary scaling and evening-out of images to handle flutter associated with unsupported web. 

eXaminer II maintains CC1's well-known easy-to-use touch screen interface now featured on a touch-panel PC.  Fully expandable, all components are networked and can handle any combination of web leads and folders. Further, components are "Plug & Play" for easy expansion and/or service with great ease of initial installation. 

eXaminer II employs the many application advantages long associated with CC1's eXaminer including APR Automatic Press Re-timing for timing of compensators with automatic adjustment for cylinder re-gearing variation, and TRAM Register Data Collection and Reporting for press fingerprinting and register correction customization capability on a per lead, per unit, per direction basis.
