NORCROSS, GA (May 6, 2008) – Unisource Worldwide, Inc., one of the leading distributors of paper, packaging and facility supplies in North America, has announced the appointment of Mike Stolzer to Regional Segment Vice President – Packaging, to oversee business development in its Central Region.  He will report to Glenn Barton, Unisource Senior Vice President, Sales, for the region.
 
“We are excited that Mike has joined the Unisource team,” said Barton.  “He has a wealth of industry experience, and we look forward to his leadership in profitably building our packaging business in the Central Region.  He will be working closely with our business managers and our Norcross, GA, Packaging team to grow this important business segment for Unisource.”
 
Most recently, Stolzer served as Central Region Manager for the Linear Stretch Film Division of Atlantis Plastics, Inc., where he focused his efforts on selling plastic films through packaging distributors in the Central U.S. and Mexican markets.  A graduate of the University of Missouri, he began his career as National Accounts Manager for Muller Stretch Equipment in St. Louis, which was later acquired by ITW.  Working in the Chicago area, he held numerous positions with the ITW organization’s Packaging Systems Group, including Director of Sales and Marketing, Business Unit Manager and National Sales Manager.
