Day to Market XCP Pressguard in North America

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, OHIO (30 April 2008) Day International has announced that it will market XCP Pressguard in North America beginning April 2008. Manufactured by the Scottish-based Marott Graphic Services (UK) Ltd., XCP Pressguard is a corrosion protection fluid formulated to provide complete protection across all parts of the printing press; from cylinders and plate clamps to bearers and side frames.

"Day is pleased to add this new product to our comprehensive pressroom consumables product portfolio", says Bill Reynolds, Day's Pressroom Consumables Manager. "Given the commercial pressures printers face today, protecting capital investments, extending press life and improving residual values are critical. XCP Pressguard, being fully compliant with all relevant OEM requirements, will place us at the forefront of an increasingly important product category."

The product, which is easily applied and used as an ongoing press maintenance regimen, protects against corrosion increases press reliability, reduces the risks of press down time, extends the life of the press and ultimately results in higher residual values.

"There are generic greases and oils available on the market today, but we have designed XCP Pressguard specifically for the printing press", explains Scott Sutherland, Marott Graphic Services Commercial Director.

XCP Pressguard will be available exclusively in North American through Day International and the Flint News Ink Division and in conjunction with distributor partners H&S Supply and C&W Pressroom Products. To learn more about XCP Pressguard, visit online at www.xcp-pressguard.com.
