Xitron Supports Epson Printers With Vivid Magenta Ink

Ann Arbor, Michigan – April 11, 2008 – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions, today announced the release of vDot-3, a proofing plug-in that supports the Epson UltraChrome K3 printers with Vivid Magenta ink including the 4880, 7880 and 9880.

The vDot-3 plug-in provides Navigator users with

- Direct support for Epson's latest line of printers for the proofing market

- Extensive control over colors to produce the highest quality proofs

- ICC profiles for Xitron X1 TotalProof media

- Advanced screening specifically designed for Epson printers

- Direct support for all 8 ink channels in the 4880, 7880 and 9880 printers

"The Epson UltraChrome printers have long been among the most popular proofing engine for our users," stated R. Patrick French, Vice President of Sales for Xitron. "The increased color gamut makes the new models ideal for proofing. The vDot-3 plug-in allows Navigator GPS users to take full advantage of the capabilities of these units."

The vDot-3 plug-in is an option for any Windows-based Navigator RIP or Navigator GPS workflow version 7.0 and higher. Through June 2008, users who purchase an Epson plug-in will also receive a starter roll of Xitron's X1 TotalProof media. This proofing media was specially formulated to meet the demands of commercial printers by closely matching a typical commercial press sheet.

In addition vDot-3, Xitron offers a broad selection of high-quality, color managed plug-ins and standalone proofing RIPs to drive Canon and HP inkjet proofers. Xitron also offers a Universal Windows Printer plug-in capable of supporting virtually any inkjet or laser printer that utilizes a Windows printer driver.
