Hi-Liter Graphics Installs Full Slate of QuadTech Controls

Press release from the issuing company

Sussex, WI, April 9, 2008 – QuadTech, Inc. today announced another successful installation of its full array of color control products.  Hi-Liter Graphics, an HGI Company, located in Wisconsin with over fifty years of printing service in the book, directory, magazine, and catalog markets is operating the QuadTech products on a new MAN Roland Euroman commercial web press.

Hi-Liter marked the first-ever North American installation of the Euroman by hosting a recent Open House at its headquarters in Burlington, Wisconsin.  QuadTech cosponsored the event, which more than 30 potential customers attended to get a first-hand look at the Euroman in production.  MAN Roland engineers demonstrated the Euroman's 4 x 4 versatility, flexibility and 32-page capability.

"QuadTech was a proud co-sponsor of the open house," said Vince Balistrieri, QuadTech Director of Engineering.  "It provided the perfect forum to educate our customers on how they can enhance the productivity of the Euroman by pairing it with QuadTech press controls to ultimately boost their profits."

"QuadTech offers a complete package of controls," said Craig Faust, President and CEO of the HGI Company.  "When you partner with a reputable company like QuadTech, you know you are getting the latest technology backed by a terrific support team."

Among the full slate of state-of-the-art products running on the Euroman are the QuadTech Register Guidance System with MultiCam and the QuadTech Ribbon Control System with MultiCam.  Each system provides Hi-Liter with unmatched performance across a full range of register and ribbon control tasks.

Along with these flexible systems, Hi-Liter further enhanced the Euroman with the QuadTech Color Control System with Instrument Flight in order to reduce makeready time and waste, while at the same time maintaining the consistent quality to which its customers are accustomed.

"Our customers demand superior quality," said Faust.  "The QuadTech controls have helped us meet their expectations and kept them coming back with new jobs."

All aspects of Hi-Liter's operation will benefit from increased efficiency with the network-based ICON integrated software platform.  ICON will enable Hi-Liter experts to run automated press controls from a single, centralized station, allowing them to be proactive as opposed to reactive.

Finally, Hi-Liter also opted for the QuadTech Data Central System to capture the full productivity and print quality potential of today's most advanced press controls.  The reporting module will collect performance and event data from the ICON-platform control systems, then allow Hi-Liter staff to generate a wide range of reports and charts – easy-to-interpret tools for monitoring and improving the performance and efficiency of the Euroman.

"We're extremely pleased to provide Hi-Liter Graphics with the highest-performing color control systems in the printing industry," said Karl Fritchen, President of QuadTech. "We believe that keeping our promise to Hi-Liter by delivering outstanding quality will reinforce QuadTech's position as the industry's pre-eminent technology leader."

Also attending the Hi-Liter Open House on behalf of QuadTech were Greg Kallman, Sales Manager Mid-Atlantic; Troy Warton, Sales Manager, Lower Mid-West; and Joe Czaplewski Sales Manager Upper Mid-West.
