SMYRNA, Ga. (April 2, 2008) - The PNEAC Publication of the Year awards were presented at the annual National Environmental, Health and Safety conference in Indianapolis on Tuesday, March 11. Georgia Printer's October 2007 "Green" Issue was selected as "Publication of the Year" for the regional publication category.

The PNEAC Publication of the Year Award seeks to honor the best and most significant journal article, fact sheet, report or book on the subject of pollution prevention in the printing industry.

PIAG President Rachel Ann Shattah was present as Ashley Davidson, PIAG Marketing & Communications Manager, accepted the award on behalf of PIAG. "Georgia Printer strives to address the issues that our readers face with timely information from respected industry experts. The goal of PIAG's 1st 'Green' issue of Georgia Printer was to begin defining what 'green' means to our industry. We look forward to continuing the discussion with our 2nd 'Green' issue in April 2008," remarked Ms. Davidson.

Copies of Georgia Printer's 2nd "Green" issue are available upon request. The award-winning October 2007 "Green" issue is available for online viewing at http://www.piag.org.
