ICS Introduces Monitor Proofing Software Solution to China

Press release from the issuing company

New York and Beijing -- March 31, 2008 -- China's ad agencies, designers, prepress specialists, publishers and printers looking to speed turnaround cycles in the country's burgeoning graphic arts production industry now have access to the leading monitor proofing solution, Remote Director.  Integrated Color Solutions (ICS) today announces the release of the Chinese language version of its award-winning Remote Director software.

"Digital technologies and network communications are rapidly proliferating throughout China, and as a result the demand for proven remote proofing solutions to enhance and streamline print production workflows is also on the rise," says Jeffrey Silverman, ICS president.  "Remote Director allows prepress specialists and printers to collaborate accurately and effectively with ad agencies, design and publishing partners globally; regardless of existing workflows, geographic locations and time zones.  We are pleased to bring this proven, science-based technology to customers in China."

ICS Remote Director Chinese version offers a suite of features designed to ease and enhance integration, and to improve productivity for all of its users - from agencies to printers - no matter what the workflow. It offers:

    •    Simultaneous (truly real time) collaboration on any number of monitors

    •    Matching, accurate color across all displays

    •    Open architecture permitting integration with any workflow

    •    Runs on commercially-available hardware with no need for customization

    •    Cross-platform (Macintosh and Windows) capabilities  -- the software seamlessly communicates accurate color in any mixed use environment

    •    SWOP Certified for color accuracy

Remote Director's Software Development Kit (SDK) enables various workflow integrations, allowing users to proof from within their existing workflow; without the need to launch a separate application. Users can create proofs, set the proof requirements, invite viewers and set their user permissions directly from within their workflow. The invited viewers simply click on the proof link in their email notification, which launches the Remote Director application and verifies their monitor's color status for proof viewing. Once the proof has been viewed, the original user is notified from within their own workflow (through an SDK call to the hosting software) or by email notification with a proof link that the proof has been viewed.

ICS has partnered with a number of industry vendors and integrators to bring the power of virtual proofing, via the SDK, to those companies' portfolios. Partners include Xinet, Adstream, Vio, and MediaBank.

ICS's new China distributor, Easeprint is the first to sell and support the new Remote Director Chinese Language version.  Established in 2003, Easeprint has been dedicated to providing prepress systems, integration and services. About 30 experienced employees serve in departments including customer service, technical support and account management. In the past few years, Easeprint has grown its business network throughout Northern China and supports customers through the hard work of its entire staff, becoming one of the most active prepress systems integrators in China.
