Affinity Express Teams Up with Mediaspectrum to Offer Turnkey Solution for Print and Web Ad Production

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, April 22, 2007 -- At the Newspaper Association of America’s 2007 NEXPO trade show, it was announced by Affinity Express Inc., the leading provider of outsourced graphic and design services for the newspaper, direct mail, printing and promotional products industries, that the company has formed a strategic relationship with Mediaspectrum, the ad tracking and production technology specialist. The companies have joined forces to market a complete, turnkey solution for newspaper print and web ad production. According to Affinity Express and Mediaspectrum representatives, the combination of the largest business process outsourcing company dedicated to design services, with the technology and development expertise that has been proven at numerous installations worldwide, results in an operating model that saves costs and increases revenue for publishing companies. Affinity Express Chief Executive Officer James Daleen explained, “Our company decided that our number one strategic focus will be the newspaper industry. That’s why we are excited to be the first to deliver a viable solution that saves publishers as much as 30-50% of costs over time. But the Affinity Express-Mediaspectrum offering is more than an expense-cutting measure. It’s a means to help newspapers sustain business, while transforming their organizations, competing with major web engines and facilitating growth.” Regarding the basis for the relationship with Mediaspectrum, Mr. Daleen said, “We’ve learned from direct client experience that, in order to effectively leverage an offsite labor pool in the demanding and deadline-oriented newspaper environment, a redefined workflow and robust technology platform is required. After thorough research, we determined that Mediaspectrum’s web- and JAVA-based architecture was the best approach to provide a seamless interface between publishers, sales people, their clients, account support personnel and ad production.” Mediaspectrum Chief Executive Officer Scott Killoh commented, “The newspaper industry is under tremendous pressure to act today. While there are other companies offering pieces of the puzzle, the team of Affinity Express and Mediaspectrum are the only ones with integrated, specialized workforces, domain expertise and the current technology to address all facets of ad production. It’s a joint solution with one vision: to achieve cost savings now and finance transformation over time.” Affinity Express announced on April 9th that the solution was successfully installed at The Columbus Dispatch (Dispatch Printing Company). Since April 9, 2007, Affinity Express has been providing 100% of ad production services to the publisher using a Mediaspectrum workflow and a blend of dedicated onsite, offsite and offshore resources under a multi-year agreement. Affinity Express and Mediaspectrum are co-exhibiting at NEXPO from April 21-24 in Booth 2459, as part of the companies’ cooperative selling, marketing and implementation efforts.
