March 27, 2008 - Inca Digital and Fujifilm Sericol will demonstrate stunning results produced by its latest eight-color Spyder 320-8 printer in the Fujifilm Sericol booth 2657 at the International Sign Expo (ISA) 2008  (March 27-29). The large format, digital flatbed UV printer will be demonstrated by distributor Fujifilm Sericol featuring the new Uvijet Ultratone enhanced color set plus white ink. Fujifilm Sericol will also provide a video demonstration of the Onset, Inca Digital's revolutionary large format UV digital flatbed printer.

The Spyder 320-8 Series gives printers a greater choice of ink colors including white, providing the ability to match a wider range of special colors. With eight ink modules, each consisting of four inkjet heads, the Spyder 320-8 Series maximizes the color gamut achievable from any UV inkjet printer available today. Users have the flexibility to choose the normal four process color inks (CMYK) plus, when required, the ability to achieve far more accurate spot colors using different combinations of the patent-pending Ultratone color set, which allow the ink system to be tailored to specific end-user needs. The Fujifilm Sericol Uvijet Ultratone ink system is designed to print onto almost anything from paper and board to a wide range of plastics using Inca's proven technology to control droplet formation and accuracy.

The addition of the Ultratone ink system will produce an improved color gamut. In essence, color has three characteristics: lightness, chroma and hue. Customer beta-testing has confirmed the biggest differences are seen with darker colors-those with greater chroma (color intensity): oranges, reds and greens. Fujifilm Sericol will be conducting daily presentations about the use and impact of its Ultratone colors on the Spyder 320-8 at its booth.

The Inca Spyder 320 is in a class of its own, with its mix of speed, quality and price. The Spyder 320 system's speed is impressive, printing in excess of 645 sq ft /hr, and delivering optimum production performance at 592 sq ft/hr. A variety of Spyder 320 printers are available: a four-color, a six-color and an entry level model, as well as a white version for added flexibility in addition to the eight color printer. The modular approach of the Spyder range allows users to modify the specification of their Inca Spyder printer to suit changing business needs or address new market applications.

Aimed at the mid-range market and competitively priced, the Spyder 320-8 Series continues to deliver Inca's proven performance and outstanding print quality. This machine features the characteristic small Spyder footprint, moving print carriage and a full-size 126-inch x 63-inch static vacuum bed with highly accurate pin registration, sharp image resolution and crisp text.

Fujifilm Sericol's video demonstration of the new Onset press will highlight the machines throughput up to 5382 sq ft, equivalent to over 100 full bed sheets (5' x 10'), or 300 3' x 5' posters, per hour. Last year, Inca introduced the Onset, a revolutionary large format UV digital flatbed printer. For all its sophistication, the Inca Onset is extremely easy to operate by one operator, with a nominal 20-minute set up time at the start of each day. With the option of gloss or satin finish, the Onset, has already been installed in the USA, Canada, UK and Europe.

Inca Digital also developed the Columbia Turbo which, when first launched in 2004, set an exceptional standard in performance with display print firms worldwide. The new Turbo Plus offers the same benefits with the addition of two extra colors or white, printing on rigid or flexible substrates up to 1.57" thick at speeds of up to 1325 sqft/hr. With a maximum sheet size of 126" x 63", it will consistently produce at a throughput of up to 24 full bed sheets per hour (allowing for handling time).
