Ogden Newspapers
A fourth-generation, family-owned company, Ogden Newspapers, Inc., is a diversified media corporation that publishes 40 daily newspapers, several magazines, weekly newspapers and shoppers located in 12 states from Florida to upstate New York and as far west as Maui, Hawaii. The company has been headquartered in Wheeling, WV, since September 22, 1890. Ogden Publications, Inc., an affiliated company based in Topeka, Kansas, publishes several rural-lifestyle magazines, including such well-known titles as Grit, Cappers and Mother Earth News.
Ideal for all popular single-width newspaper presses (from Berliner to Goss); the MAKO NEWSmatic accommodates the widest range of web widths up to a maximum format of 635mm x 927mm (25 x 36.5).  The fully automated MAKO NEWSmatic provides enhanced levels of simplicity, versatility and economy and is the ideal transition to unattended CTP production for newspapers. The MAKO NEWSmatic is part of a family of automated CTP for newspapers that produce from 60 to 150 broadsheet plates per hour.
ECRMs high-capacity plate cassette and trolley can hold up to 340 8-gauge (0.2mm) plates or 250 12-gauge (0.3mm) plates at one time.  By designing a straight-through plate path, complex load/unload cycles have been eliminated. Using ECRMs patented Flex-Arm slip sheet removal system, sensors track slip sheets through pick-up, removal and disposal, ensuring fast throughput and superior reliability. The high-capacity slip sheet bin was engineered with a tamping mechanism that ensures a jam-free unattended operation
To provide added flexibility, the optical configuration includes eight resolutions from 1016 to 2540 dpi and three anamorphic resolution sets (1016 x 2032 dpi, 1200 x 2400 dpi, and 1270 x 2540 dpi).
