King Printing Receives FSC and SFI Certifications

Press release from the issuing company

Lowell, MA, June 25, 2008 - King Printing Co., Inc. continues their sustainability initiatives by receiving prestigious certifications from the world's leading forest management programs, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).

"As a complete Book Manufacturer, we felt compelled to receive chain-of-custody certification" says Adi Chinai Joint Managing Director of King Printing.  The certification from the FSC complements our certification from the SFI and substantially increases King Printing's ability to offer 'greener' and more socially responsible products to their  domestic and international client base.

"By receiving the FSC and SFI certifications, we are making clear our support of the environment, not just locally, but the world over," continued Chinai. "Recognition of the FSI and SFI standards is an achievement that our customers can align with, in order to better serve their clients and make clear their own responsibility to the environment."

FSC and SFI are the world's leading independent organizations focused on forest management. In order to gain these highly sought after forestry certifications, companies must prove their internal control systems conform to rigorous third-party audits.

Mr. Chinai feels, "The demand for assurances that books and printed matter have been produced from responsibly managed forests is greater than ever before, therefore, having the ability to be a part of the Chain of Custody only helps to affirm our corporate and social responsibility." By continuing strategic procurement across an environmentally controlled supply chain, King Printing Co., Inc. can meet both social and business goals for itself and its clients.
