Eagle Press Becomes FSC Certified

Press release from the issuing company

Rocky Mount, NC, June 18th, 2008 – Eagle Press, Inc., one of the Nation's leading providers of corporate stationery, is now Forest Stewardship Council Chain-of-Custody certified (SW-COC 003255).

Commonly referred to as "FSC", the Forest Stewardship Council is a non-profit organization that encourages responsible forest management. They set and maintain high standards in order to ensure that forestry practices are environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable.

Chain-of-Custody certification verifies the flow of certified materials from forest to end product, ensuring credibility of the FSC claim.

In order to become certified, Eagle Press was subject to a lengthy audit process which included both our Portland, OR and Rocky Mount, NC facilities. Auditors evaluated Eagle Press' procedures to ensure that the integrity of the FSC certified product flow will not be compromised.

"Eagle Press became FSC certified to ensure that the certified paper we receive and ship to our customers maintains the integrity of the FSC claim on the label." But, "more important is the fact that the certification showcases Eagle Press' assurance of social and environmental responsibility," said Eagle Press' FSC primary contact, Danielle Yemiola.

FSC Certification through the SmartWood Program entitles Eagle Press to print the FSC Label and Rainforest Alliance Certified Seal on certified materials, and to use the FSC off-product label for marketing purposes.
