RSA's IPDSPrint 5.0 Transforms TransPromo Efforts for IPDS Transactional Output

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY, October 16th, 2007 - RSA's IPDSPrint solution for transforming legacy IPDS data streams to PostScript has been significantly enhanced to aid in an enterprise's Trans-Promo efforts.  IPDSPrint, part of RSA's popular transform family which includes M.I.S. Print, transforms mainframe print jobs in IPDS to PostScript so jobs can be printed on current, PostScript production printers.  IPDSPrint can run on high performance servers from RSA, or co-resident directly on the controller of many production printers.  The co-resident option is a capability unique to RSA!
IPDSPrint 5.0 demonstrates RSA's continued commitment to standards, including support for the latest IPDS specifications.  Areas of enhancement include support of more fonts and imaging formats.  This offers flexibility for document design and generation, aiding an organization's marketing efforts within transactional documents.  Forward-looking enterprises recognize that data center transactional output is also another avenue for marketing promotional efforts, hence the interest in TransPromo capabilities.
The latest version of IPDSPrint adds extensive font support such as DBCS, TrueType and Resident fonts.  Customers with diverse or unique fonts will appreciate the ability to carry these fonts over to their transaction output.  IPDSPrint also adds Object Container support for image types including JPEG, GIF as well as IOCA Tile support and updated IOCA Image Resource support.  By supporting these industry standard image types, RSA's IPDSPrint customers can leverage their existing logos and other graphics without a separate conversion process.
The new version also offers full Highlight Color support, with optional Highlight Color ID to RGB color mapping capabilities.  This gives enterprises greater flexibility for color matching and helps increase consistency throughout TransPromo marketing.
Performance improvements means IPDSPrint can also deliver considerably faster throughput, so organizations can leverage these new features without slowing them down.  IPDSPrint 5.0 is available immediately from leading printer equipment vendors.
