Presstek Announces Addition of DI Segment to DICE User Group Forums

Press release from the issuing company

Hudson, N.H. -- Oct. 2, 2007 -- Presstek, Inc., the leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing business solutions in cooperation with the Digital Imaging Customer Exchange (DICE) has announced a new membership segment of DICE that focuses on printers that use Presstek DI-enabled digital offset presses, whether branded under the Presstek name or by of one of the company's OEMs. DICE is an independent users group for owners of high-end digital color presses. Presstek DI is the fourth vendor platform supported by DICE members, the others being HP Indigo, Kodak NexPress, and higher end Xerox color production devices.
DICE will hold its annual meeting in Las Vegas from Oct. 11 - 13, where Presstek Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Todd Chambers, along with other DICE sponsors, will participate in a panel discussion on "Vendors' Views of the Future." The panelists will discuss what trends they are seeing in the digital printing marketplace and how those trends will impact the industry and the role of print going forward. They will also discuss success factors and growth opportunities for their companies as well as the industry.
"We see Presstek's digital offset technology as highly complementary to the digital printing technology employed by our current members. In fact, many of our members already have a Presstek DI running alongside their digital toner press," states DICE Executive Director, Michael Vinocur. He adds: "DI presses are being placed in a growing range of environments including commercial printers of all sizes, digital printers, in-plants and vertical markets like mail houses and direct marketing agencies. We look forward to bringing this range of user experience to our forums."
"Presstek is excited to become an active participant in DICE and welcomes the opportunity for our DI users to learn from and to share their successes with the DICE community, helping them become more capable, profitable and competitive," Chambers said. "DICE's inclusion of a Presstek community -- where participants can speak with peers about DI technology -- represents growing recognition of the benefits that DI can bring into the digital production environment. We believe that all printers can benefit from a forum where they can learn best practices from each other and how to maximize the potential of their businesses."
As is the case with the other printing platforms supported by DICE, those owning Presstek-enabled DI presses will be offered a free first year's company membership in DICE, a $495 value. Company membership allows an unlimited number of employees to subscribe to DICE's new DI email forum, as well as a broader email forum called DICEMAIL, where members can come together to discuss sales and marketing and general business issues. Member companies may attend the annual meeting, Oct. 11-13 in Las Vegas, at a special, highly discounted rate and participate in a variety of other DICE meetings and Webinars throughout the year. Users may sign up for DICE membership as well as register for this year's meeting at www.dicegroup.org.
