PaperSpecs Announces Webinar Series on Paper

The webinar series will start with the basics of uncoated papers on October 16th at 2:00 pm EST/11:00 am PST and will feature Print Buyer International founder Margie Dana as a guest moderator. Sponsored by NEENAH PAPER, the free webinar will explain how today's designers and print buyers can make more informed paper choices by better understanding how paper affects the printing process. In the first webinar on uncoated papers, participants will be introduced to:
- How uncoated paper is made (abridged);
- Uncoated paper finishes and how they can enhance a piece;
- The need for acid free paper;
- How much opacity is needed;
- What determines a paper's basis weight and why a designer should care;
- What is GSM and why bother with it;
- What is the difference between a watermark and a digital watermark;
- Tips for printing successfully on uncoated papers.
