Océ Wide Format Printing Showcases Groundbreaking Solutions
Océ Wide Format Printing Systems will showcase two innovative new solutions for display graphics and technical document applications. GRAPH EXPO attendees can see the Océ Arizona 350 GT, the newest member of the award-winning Océ Arizona family of flatbed printers. Combining a true flatbed design and an optional dedicated roll-to-roll capability with UV-curable inks, the Océ Arizona 350 GT system prints on both rigid substrates and flexible media sequentially for no-compromise print productivity. The system features a White Ink option, which expands the range of services into specialty offerings such as over-printing on transparent media for backlit applications. Innovative Océ VariaDot imaging technology produces near-photographic image quality at speeds of more than 239 square feet per hour. The Océ Arizona 350 GT system will be shown printing onto backlit displays on clear media, static cling signs and black rigid substrates, and aluminum and clear acrylic, demonstrating its sheer versatility.

The new Océ ColorWave 600 large format printer uses a new printing technology called Océ CrystalPoint that combines the best of toner and inkjet printing in one machine. The Océ CrystalPoint process converts solid Océ TonerPearls color toner into a gel that is then jetted and crystallized onto any type of uncoated media, including plain and recycled paper, vellum and even Tyvek. The system, which is at least twice as fast as conventional inkjet systems, produces high-quality images with extremely accurate dot placement that is instantly dry, waterfast and can be handled immediately. New Océ CrystalPoint technology is also environmentally friendly, with no ozone, odor, or fine powder emissions. With this unique system, print professionals can reduce turnaround and accelerate project completion, consolidate monochrome and color volumes to reduce costs and incorporate renderings, maps or photos easily into larger sets with inexpensive plain paper, full-color printing.
