TAWPI to Conduct Comprehensive Document Management Study

Press release from the issuing company

BOSTON, January 8, 2009 – Today, TAWPI announced plans to conduct a comprehensive study of trends in the adoption of document management technologies, tools and processes among end-user organizations.  Results of the study will be released in the first quarter of 2009.  The initiative builds on highly successful studies of the forms processing market conducted by TAWPI in 2001 and 2005.

"End-users have been telling us for some time that there are few studies that truly measure the most critical aspects of document management adoption," said TAWPI President Frank Moran.  "With the combined document management expertise of TAWPI, along with the market insight and financial support of the study's sponsors, TAWPI members will soon have access to a valuable resource for optimizing document management and benchmarking their operations against those of their peers."

All document management end-user practitioners will be eligible to participate in the study at no cost.  Once the study closes, study participants will receive a complimentary copy of the results.  This comprehensive report will allow TAWPI members to benchmark their adoption of document management technologies, tools and processes, to identify opportunities to immediately improve their operations.  The results of the study will be released publicly and presented during a Webinar and a session at TAWPI's 2009 Forums & Expo, scheduled for August 2-5 in Washington, D.C.

TAWPI is partnering with AnyDoc Software and OPEX Corporation to leverage their extensive experience in document management.  TAWPI expects to formalize partnerships with additional solutions providers shortly.  "AnyDoc Software and OPEX are actively engaged in projects to maximize the value derived from document management in most demanding organizations," said Moran.  "Through this collaboration, document management professionals will gain access to data from study participants, to help them in planning and developing document automation strategies."
