Stora Enso announces dual COC certifications for Futura Laser and Blazer Digital

Press release from the issuing company

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis., Sept. 26, 2007 - Stora Enso today announced effective October 1, 2007, its Futura Laser and Blazer Digital paper products have achieved dual chain-of-custody (COC) certification requirements for the following:
- Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), BV-COC-209961-A; and
- Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), BV-COC-209961-B.
"Customers in the digital print segment have similar needs as those using conventional offset print methods. They want the same assurance that the products they buy come from responsibly managed forests. All Futura Laser and Blazer Digital coated digital papers meet these expectations," said Anthony McDowell, vice president, branding and market communications.
Futura Laser is a premium coated digital paper engineered to improve runnability and productivity for dry- and liquid-toner and digital offset print equipment. Blazer Digital is a cost-effective choice offering quality and good runnability. Both products are precision cut and moisture-barrier wrapped for jam-free performance and are available in larger sizes that give printers form layout efficiencies.
