NowDocs' NowPrint ASAP To Be Included In Xerox's Digital Print Shop In A Box

Press release from the issuing company

San Juan Capistrano, CA. - September 2007 - NowDocs International, a provider of web-based document management solutions and services for server and ASP based platforms, today announced NowPrint ASAP will be included into Xerox's Digital Print Shop in a Box, a highly anticipated and easy to use interactive CD that provides step-by-step guides, business resources, application software and associated services to make it easy for print shops to get into the digital print business. Because Xerox has packaged these resources into one collection, print providers can avoid browsing through dozens of resources to decide which to use.
Featured in this best practices tool kit is NowDocs' NowPrint ASAP. A web-to-print Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription solution that allows smaller commercial printers to offer digital order submission, catalogs, and personalization. There is no hardware and no software to install. The user interface is so simple and intuitive that a printer should be live and operationally successful in 15 minutes. Cost of entry is under $150 dollars but don't let that fool you, using a truly multi-tenet ASP architecture, NowPrint ASAP is able to provide a tremendous value at an extremely competitive price.
"Print providers can find it quite daunting to sift through the web-to-print solutions available in order to find one that simply makes sense for their entry into this business. We selected NowPrint ASAP because of its functionality, price point and most importantly ease of entry," said Gavin Jordan-Smith, Vice President, Xerox Commercial Print and Prepress Business. "Together we packaged NowPrint ASAP inside the Digital Print Shop in a Box because it made great sense to provide a path for printers to get into web-to-print in a non-intimidating fashion."
"Our objective at NowDocs was to architect and build a web-to-print offering that would scale to meet the requirements of all printers regardless of size.  We have taken our operationally successful core platform and deployed it via a simplified self service software as a service (SaaS) model, which enables all printers, no matter what their budget or IT infrastructure to benefit from the power of web to print," said Brad Adamske, founder and president of NowDocs. "NowPrint ASAP is the chosen web to print application for Xerox's Digital Print Ship in a Box because it enables printers to easily move into or increase their digital and web to print capabilities without making a large long term investment or having a large IT staff."
Xerox believes there is still a huge opportunity for print providers to adopt digital. According to the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation 2006 Print Atlas, only about 23 percent of the 23,500 commercial printers in the United States offer digital printing.
