Press release from the issuing company

GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN, September 12, 2007 – X-Rite, Incorporated, the world leader in color management and measurement technologies, today announced the i1iSis family of automated chart readers has won the prestigious European Digital Press (EDP) Award for Best Color Management in the software category. The winners are selected by the European Digital Press Association and are awarded for the best and most innovative digital printing products of the year. Judged on efficiency, performance, quality, design and ease-of-use, the award winning i1iSis is ideal for high production environments like prepress, high-speed digital printing, high-end proofing, packaging and wide-format printing. i1iSis users are ensured accurate, consistent and predictable results every time.
Automation is one of the key benefits of iSis, enabling the user to load the chart and move on to other tasks while the iSis does the work. Featuring switchable UV illumination to capture no-filter and UV-cut filter data in a single measurement cycle, the iSis provides maximum flexibility for optimal profile creation.  The iSis has a built-in vision system that auto-corrects chart misalignment, as well as a barcode reading mechanism for easy chart identification “Our profiles are of the highest quality we have ever achieved and with the least amount of effort. I am amazed with the speed and efficiency,” said David Sparer, Senior Manager, Professional Products Marketing Division at CANON USA.
X-Rite is also announcing the launch of a worldwide i1iSis special promotion. “We are delighted that the i1iSis has been recognized by the European Digital Press Association with this award and our promotion is a great opportunity for color professionals to reap the many benefits of integrating this cutting edge technology into their workflow, from design to prepress to print, while saving substantially on the purchase price,” said Thomas Kunz, Imaging and Media Market Manager, Photo, X-Rite.
