Hundreds of Updates to EFI PrinterSite Internal on Display at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Graph Expo - Chicago - Sept. 10, 2007 - EFI, the world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, debuted the upcoming version of its PrinterSite Internal solution at Graph Expo (booth 3000, Sept. 9-12, McCormick Place). PrinterSite Internal is part of EFI's PrinterSite suite, a set of Internet applications designed to leverage EFI Print management products to increase customer loyalty, provide access into larger accounts, streamline the order process, achieve seamless workflow integration, and increase businesses' revenue streams.
PrinterSite Internal is a powerful tool for the print service provider's team that allows them to collect and share vital information in real-time, from anywhere in the world via a standard web browser. The application provides the sales force, customer service representatives, and managers with secure, direct access to information in EFI Print MIS systems, from outside the plant. PrinterSite Internal lets them submit and review requests for quotes, place and monitor orders, and review job status.
The upcoming release has more than 100 enhancements, primarily for performance and compatibility with new versions of EFI's popular Hagen, Logic and PSI print MIS systems. There are also search and filtering enhancements, with results paging. The new Form Designer 7, which allows custom web-based forms to be created and deployed for use with PrinterSite Internal, similarly has a large number of enhancements, focused on building more sophisticated forms-while at the same time making it easier to use.
J.S. McCarthy is one of New England's oldest and largest sheetfed printing operations. Judi Hansen, director of Information Technology, said: "PrinterSite Internal is an integral part of our production workflow. Our request for quotes generated from PrinterSite Internal feed directly into our Hagen estimating module and pre-build 90% of the estimate. This product has allowed us to merge our estimating and customer service departments and still respond quicker to our customers' requests. With the new paging feature in PrinterSite Internal the program is easier to use and navigate. And Form Designer 7 is a key tool to allow us to create and modify forms needed for the site. Overall the new options and features give us more flexibility in updating the site. We look forward to the continued development of PrinterSite Internal and how it can help us optimize our workflow."
"This is the most significant release of PrinterSite Internal to date, and the hundreds of enhancements - many the result of customer requests - will make it an even more powerful tool for print service providers," said Chuck Gehman, director of product management, EFI Advanced Professional Print Software (APPS).
