Quark Print Collection Supports Adobe Acrobat 8 for Prepress and Imposition

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago [Graph Expo Booth #4417] - September 10, 2007 - Quark, Inc. today announced that Quark Print Collection, Quark's comprehensive set of prepress and imposition tools, supports both QuarkXPress 7 and Adobe Acrobat 8. The next generation of Imposer Pro, Quark Print Collection offers publishers and output providers advanced features that enable the imposition of native QuarkXPress layouts or PDF files quickly, simply, and accurately.
Designed as a standalone set of prepress and imposition tools, Quark Print Collection offers both QuarkXPress 7 and Adobe Acrobat 8 users an intuitive user interface, extensive pagination options, and advanced control over settings. Quark Print Collection features:
- Quark Imposer for QuarkXPress and Adobe Acrobat: Offers users choices for file, application, sheet, imposition, and binding types as well as automatic pagination, preview options, tiling, and can impose PDFs from multiple sources into a single printer's spread.
- Quark MarkIt for QuarkXPress 7: Allows for custom registration styles, press-mark control, and job information.
- Quark Item Marks for QuarkXPress 7: Enables registration and crop marks, placement control, automatic guides, and layer control.
"Designers and output providers are familiar with how time and labor intensive the prepress and imposition process can be. Quark Print Collection is a feature-rich, accessible, and affordable tool that helps alleviate the strain on production resources," said Paul Schmitt, vice president of emerging technologies and strategic alliances for Quark. "Both QuarkXPress 7 and Adobe Acrobat users benefit from advanced prepress and imposition capabilities, while QuarkXPress users also have access to a set of complementary QuarkXPress XTensions software."
Quark Print Collection retails for $299 per copy in the United States, which affords output providers the ability to install a comprehensive set of prepress and imposition tools on a number of workstations. Extending imposition capabilities beyond just one or two workstations within the production department allows for increased productivity and output.
