Avanti announces the completion of JDF integration of CREO Color Servers

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, Il September 9, 2007 - Avanti Computer Systems Limited, a leading provider of business management software for commercial and in-plant print shops, today announced the general availability of its JDF integration into Creo color servers, by Kodak's Print On-Demand Solutions Group.
Leveraging their award-winning JDF framework, Avanti's integration with Creo color servers automatically transfers job information to Creo servers via hotfolders. The job information that is transferred includes all job metadata eliminating the need to re-key information previously captured. The two companies are nearing completion of the next phase of integration, which includes JMF messaging, and enables transaction data to be sent back to Avanti to be used for invoicing.
Productivity Gain and Reduced Turnaround Time
Patrick Bolan, President and CEO of Avanti, says, "There is an immediate productivity gain for our customers. The Avanti/Creo servers' integration eliminates a key breakpoint in the workflow, where information previously captured needed to be re-entered into the system".
Bolan comments "The benefit? Quite simply, we reduce turnaround time, eliminate the possibility of transcription errors, and give everyone in the print shop up-to-the-minute job status while ensuring that the cost entries are 100% accurate and up-to-date."
"We are very happy to offer our users an automated digital printing workflow from Avanti Graphic Arts Management System to their Creo servers," said Hagar Gal, Workflow Marketing Manager, and Kodak's Print On-Demand Solutions Group. "We already have customers benefiting from this connectivity, and will develop it further as customers' needs evolve."
