Base-Line Launches Base-Line Research Division; Appoints Brian St. Pierre as President

Shelton, CT, September 2007 – Base-Line Inc., the leading manufacturer and distributor of press and prepress supplies announced today that is has launched Base-Line Research. This newly formed division will oversee technical services related to Base-Line's product lines, as well as spearhead product research and development efforts for the company and its dealers. 
Brian St. Pierre will lead the division and assumes the title of president of Base-Line Research effective immediately. St. Pierre was most recently the president of Pennan Distribution, the leading converter of offset metal plates and a diverse array of products for the graphics arts industry.  Base-Line who acquired Pennan Distribution last month, now oversees sales and distribution efforts for a wide range of Pennan products including high quality offset metal plates including the LEGEND offset plate for analog, CtP and Violet.
"Under Brian's leadership, Base-Line Research will manage and direct new product development, as well service our dealers most effectively," said Howard Harper, president and chief executive officer, Base-Line. "The new division will also help to enhance our dealer relationships by providing outstanding technical support for our wide range of products and services. It will also help us partner with our dealers to help them develop new products and reach new customers via our international offices," he added.
St. Pierre will be supported by Jonathan Harper, who will assume the title of technical manager. Harper was promoted from his previous role in operations oversight at Base-Line's Gurnee facility.  St. Pierre will also be supported by Michael Lubar who will assume the title of technical and R&D director. Lubar will also continue his role as Inkjet media director.   
"Forming this division is a prime example of how Base-Line continually displays a unique vision to ensure dealer satisfaction," said St. Pierre. "I'm confident that Base-Line Research will enable us to expand our innovative programs and products to dealers through out North America and abroad."
