Press release from the issuing company

September 10, 2007 - CHICAGO - Océ, a global leader in digital document management and delivery, announces the Océ Color System CS550, a new 55 page-per-minute (ppm) member of the Océ Color System family. The new Océ CS550 system is targeted to commercial as well as in-house print operations, with speed, feature set and price points that fit light production requirements.
"The Océ CS platform delivers cost-effective color with the speed, media handling, finishing flexibility and output quality for a variety of applications, from stapled reports to saddle-stitched brochures and high-end marketing campaigns. Now the Océ CS550 system expands these opportunities for smaller-scale users," said Eric de Goeijen, Vice President of Marketing, Océ North America, Inc., Corporate Printing Division. "With the CS550, quick printers and CRDs can afford to pursue new opportunities involving high-quality production color and inline finishing."
Océ Color Systems are versatile, complete cut-sheet solutions providing print, copy and scan functionality with output quality suited to high-end color applications. Oil-free fusing and high-definition polymerized toner deliver prints that can be written on, printed over, or laminated; all with crisp details and rich color. Now production operations can affordably add color capabilities to their services, capturing new business and gaining more share of existing customers.
"Océ recognizes that the impact of color is driving more customers to seek digital color production solutions, and we continue to expand our color products to meet the varied needs of the marketplace," added Guy Broadhurst, Senior Vice President, Product Marketing, Océ North America, Inc., Commercial Printing Division. The CS550 joins the 65 ppm Océ CS620 and Océ CS650 Pro systems to provide printing and copying operations with high-end color solutions at a low cost of ownership. The Océ Color Systems offer a number of finishing, media and controller options for various production workflows.
The Océ CS550 will be available in the United States in the fourth quarter.
