Ginny's Printing Purchases $5.5 Million in New Presses

Press release from the issuing company

(AUSTIN, TX) September 12, 2007 -- Ginny's Printing, one of Austin's largest commercial printing companies, has announced the acquisition of $5.5 million (at list prices) in new printing presses from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg). Headquartered in Germany, Heidelberg is the world's leading solution provider for commercial and industrial customers in the print media industry. The company has 250 sales offices worldwide.
"This is the largest equipment transaction in the 22-year Heidelberg sales career of our sales representative," said Michael Martin, Ginny's president.
Ginny's purchased two 40-inch presses, one 8-color and one 6-color. The presses will be installed in spring 2008.
"With this acquisition, we will be able to increase capacity, improve productivity and, most important, improve quality," noted Martin.
In May, Ginny's Printing merged with The Lithoprint Company. The two companies currently own 13 offset printing presses that range from 2-color to 8-color. Ginny's has one of the nation's largest fleets of Xerox Docutech digital black and white printers and two iGen3 digital color printers. Ginny's service portfolio includes variable data printing, mailing and fulfillment.
Ginny's has 190 employees and operates an 88,000 square-foot facility in northeast Austin. Lithoprint employees number 35, and the company has a 35,000 square foot facility in south Austin.
