Kodak, EMTEX Simplify Creation of High Quality, Powerful TransPromo and Direct Mail Applications

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 30—Printing effective, high volume, variable color documents for TransPromo and direct mail applications is easier with expanded EMTEX support for Kodak's full line of KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Presses. Announced at the recent TransPromo Summit in New York City, EMTEX's growing support for KODAK digital print solutions now includes output to the ISO standard PPML/VDX data stream format.
Paired with the NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Press, the EMTEX VIP Server allows users to manage high resolution print files for TransPromo and direct mail applications, with excellent print stream re-engineering capabilities and world class workflow automation options. The EMTEX VIP server is a high-performance output management solution that provides centralized print production management, real time data stream transformation, resource management, and job accounting. The EMTEX VIP server now supports conversion of IBM AFP to PPML/VDX data stream format.

In addition to the NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Presses, the EMTEX VIP Server supports all KODAK VERSAMARK print systems including MICR configurations. EMTEX VIP server capabilities for VERSAMARK solutions include fast conversions to IJPDS, from PostScript or PDF; support for 3 and 4 up and 300 dpi and 240 dpi printers; and support of ICC profiles for color conversion using KODAK COLORFLOW Technology to ensure accurate color rendition.
