IGI Fall 2007 Workshop Schedule Features Noted Industry Consultants

Press release from the issuing company

September 17, 2007, Pewaukee, Wisconsin - The Institute for Graphics and Imaging is pleased to announce its first full schedule of workshops since the dedication and grand opening of its facilities in June 2007. Beginning October 2 and running until December 20, the IGI Fall 2007 workshop will feature an impressive roster of industry luminaries and internationally known consultants.
"No one can dispute that Internet forums and e-learning have become popular sources for industry training," notes IGI Executive Director Hal Hinderliter, "But for complex topics, there is no better choice than the in-depth, face-to-face workshop model employed by the Institute for Graphics and Imaging. This interactive classroom format allows participants to go beyond the bullet points, with the assurance that our world-class instructors are always available for questions and clarifications."
The Institute's list of Fall 2007 instructors reads like a "Who's Who" of the printing industry, featuring a lineup of talent more typically found at major industry tradeshows. IGI workshop participants can improve their color management skills with hands-on training from David Hunter and Lou Prestia, become Photoshop "power users" under the tutelage of Taz Tally, organize their digital photography workflow with Patti Russotti, learn how to sell and market digital printing with Frank Kanonik, explore the benefits of Lean Management and Six Sigma with Pat Dolan, or sharpen their prepress skills with IGI's own Hal Hinderliter.
Classes offered by the Institute for Graphics and Imaging take place in the new Harry V. Quadracci Printing Education and Technology Center (HVQ PETC) in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Located on the campus of the Waukesha County Technical College, this new facility represents a partnership between Wisconsin's thriving printing community and the state's technical college system. The 23,600 square foot facility (constructed at a cost of $3.5 million) contains fifteen offices,
three lecture halls, two computer graphics classrooms, a digital photography studio, a color measurement lab, a bookstore and a 4,000 square foot Demo Center to showcase the latest printing and finishing technologies. This project was funded by a combination of donations from private individuals and businesses, along with public funding.
