York Print picks Rapida 105

Press release from the issuing company

June 11, 2008 -- Indian packaging specialist York Print from Kolkata will soon be the proud owner of a six-colour Rapida 105 coater press with UV, cartonboard and plastic printing capabilities and an extended delivery. The medium-format Rapida will be the first UV press for printing plastic in the whole of the eastern subcontinent.

But business relations between KBA and York Print date back to long before this particular sale: a Rapida 104 was shipped to York Print in 1993, and followed a succession of Planeta models.

Prior to signing the contract York Print's management team trawled the stands of the major press manufacturers, but in the end what won them over was the Rapida 105's ability to accommodate the company's specific production requirements, and KBA's acknowledged competence in UV and plastic printing technology.
