Xitron Announces Fall Technical Training Schedule

Ann Arbor, Michigan – August 19, 2008 – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions, today announced their fall schedule of dealer technical training courses.
Training courses offered include:

- Xenith Sierra – September 15-19
- Navigator Basic – October 13-14 and December 8-9
- Navigator Advanced – October 14-15 and December 9-10
- Navigator GPS – October 16-17 and December 11-12
 
Xenith Sierra is Xitron's flagship workflow product for commercial printers. This course is five days and covers the fundamentals of installation and set-up for the Xenith Sierra. As with all Xitron dealer courses, it includes hands-on exercises that focus on practical issues such as memory requirements and settings, creating inputs, configuring job tickets, proofing, calibration, and output.
 
Navigator Basic covers the fundamentals of installation and set-up for the Navigator RIP on PC platforms. Hands-on exercises covering memory requirements and settings, creating inputs, configuring Page Setups for composite and separated workflow, halftone screening, calibration, and output are a part of the course.
 
Navigator Advanced is a follow-up to the Navigator Basic class. The course covers the advanced features of the Navigator RIP such as trapping, an introduction to imposition, proofing, and color management. Practical issues such as advanced calibrations and use of color profiles are an integral part of this course.
 
Navigator GPS is a follow-up to the Navigator Basic and Advanced courses and covers the fundamentals of the Navigator GPS workflow. It includes hands-on exercises that focus on workflow installation and setup, including use of both standard and optional features such as PDF Tools.
