Pageflex Announces Winners of Customer Innovation Awards

Press release from the issuing company

Cambridge, MA, December 3, 2008 – Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc. and a leading developer of enterprise variable publishing and web-to-print solutions, today announced the winners of the First Annual Pageflex Customer Innovation Awards, presented at the Pageflex User Conference held recently in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Entries were judged on several areas, including innovative use of Pageflex technology, how the solution solved their clients' business problem, and excellence in Storefront design and usability.

Pageflex is pleased to announce the winners of this year's Customer Innovation Awards:

Best Cross Media Campaign
Standard Offset Printing
When Veitch Digital Partners and its sister company, Veitch Printing Corporation, were acquired by the Standard Offset Printing Corporation, they used Pageflex Campaign Manager to create a multi-touch campaign. The focus of the campaign was to reassure existing customers about the merger and reach out to new prospects to create awareness of the new organization's capabilities.

Best Use of Pageflex Technology to Meet Clients' Needs
Making Everlasting Memories
Making Everlasting Memories utilized Pageflex technology to create completely customized register books for funeral homes and their customers. By integrating Pageflex technology with their existing user interface and database information, Making Everlasting Memories generates personalized memory books that include pictures, a biography, and guest book entries.

Best Site Design Using Pageflex Storefront
Bader Rutter
Bader Rutter developed a transactional web portal that provided their client, Mycogen Seeds, with a more efficient way to brand, customize, produce, and distribute marketing materials for their sales force and dealer network. The program increases consistency of product information via a centralized database and is now the primary location for the sales team to access and print customized marketing materials.

Best Storefront Business Portal
Bolder Graphics
Bolder Graphics used Pageflex Storefront to create an online ordering system for one of Canada's premier retailers. This system enables store managers from all over Western Canada to easily and quickly order static promotional products from Bolder Graphics' inventory. The site includes an approval process and inventory tracking system that enables the retailer's Head Office to review and approve orders before they are actually fulfilled.

Best Use of Pageflex Technology to Advance Marketing Automation
OTC Systems Ltd
OTC created a self-promotion piece to market a new direct mail format to a select group of automotive dealerships in Canada. The campaign re-introduced OTC Systems and its services to each dealer, while providing specific examples of what the actual direct mail piece would look like to the auto dealer's clients. The direct mail piece utilized extensive personalized graphics, and directed dealers to a pURL that allowed them to instantly create, approve and submit artwork as well as upload their database for cleaning.

Anna Chagnon, Bitstream President and CEO commented on the awards by saying "We developed the Pageflex Customer Innovation Awards to highlight the innovative ways in which our customers are using Pageflex to expand their offerings and meet their clients' needs. The winners of this year's awards represent what is possible when you bring together great technology with innovative ideas. We salute the winners of this year's awards, and we hope they will inspire others."
