DES PLAINES, Ill. (December 03, 2008)  Edison Press, a respected Chicagoland printer, installed a Mitsubishi sheetfed press in September to add speed and further automation to its printing production.

The Diamond 3000S is Edison Press' second six-color, 40-inch Mitsubishi press with aqueous coater installed within 12 months. It joined a Diamond 3000S that went into operation in September 2007.

The new press provides fast makereadies, high quality and efficient production to help Edison Press remain competitive with other Chicago-area printers.

Founded in 1998, Edison Press operates out of a 24,000-square-foot facility that houses printing, prepress and finishing equipment.  The family-owned firm produces direct mail campaigns, point-of-purchase displays, print ads, marketing materials, catalogs and packaging.

In addition to its sheetfed capabilities, Edison Press offers its customers wide-format and short-run digital printing on demand.
