La Crosse Graphics Adds 40-inch Mitsubishi Press

Press release from the issuing company

LA CROSSE, Wis. (November 23, 2008) La Crosse Graphics continually reinvests in plant and equipment to improve its competitiveness and open up new markets.

A major capital expansion in 2003 increased the size of La Crosse Graphics' production facility and enhanced the printer's manufacturing capabilities. Equipment acquisitions included a six-color, 40-inch Mitsubishi Diamond 3000S sheetfed press with aqueous coater, a collator, a folder and two inserters.

La Crosse Graphics expanded again in 2006, installing a six-unit Mitsubishi Diamond 8 commercial half-web press.

Another new six-color Diamond 3000S has brought ultraviolet (UV) printing and coating to the 90-employee commercial printer's operations.

Established in 1987, La Crosse Graphics caters to the tourist industry, health care providers, academic institutions, religious organizations and ad agencies. Catalogs, marketing collateral, annual reports and other time-sensitive products are the mainstays of its business. Print communications for clients in higher education run the gamut from recruitment materials to alumni publications.

The pressroom houses all Mitsubishi presses. The current lineup consists of four 40-inch sheetfed presses (three six-colors and a two-color), all with coaters, along with the Diamond 8 web press.
