Press release from the issuing company

(November 18, 2008) After its successful premiere in 2007, PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL, International Packaging and Printing Exhibition for Asia, will to return to the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from September 23 – 26, 2009. Some 300 exhibitors from 30 countries are expected to showcase the most advanced packaging processes, manufacturing practices and print technologies to 20,000 trade visitors (the show will be open to the public on September 26 only). Visitor registration will begin in May 2009. TIPREX 2009, Thai International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition for the Indochina Region, will be held concurrently.

PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2009 will be jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia, The Thai Printing Association and The Thai Packaging Association. Messe Düsseldorf Asia is a subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf in Germany, renowned as the organizer of the leading international trade fairs for the packaging and printing industries: interpack (processes and packaging) and drupa (print media). Through the Messe Duesseldorf Group of Companies worldwide network, Messe Düsseldorf Asia is instrumental in increasing international participation in the regional trade fairs in Asia.

Exhibit categories at PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2009 will include packaging machinery, equipment, appliances and accessories, packaging materials and services as well as pre-press and pre-media, printing machinery, appliances and accessories, book binding and print finishing machinery and paper converting.

“The future of packaging and printing is definitely here in Thailand. A lot of big names have taken notice of PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL and we hope they too will see it as a springboard for packaging and printing in Southeast Asia and beyond,” commented Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia. Increased consumer wealth and growing exports of processed foods and other products drive the demand for sophisticated, global standard packaging and printing services, making Asia the fastest growing market for printing and packaging. Southeast Asia, headed by Thailand and Singapore, has underscored its role as a global player in printing services and in the ASEAN member nations Indonesia and Malaysia, a printing growth of more than 50% is expected by 2011. India is the fastest growing print market in Asia – with an anticipated growth of 73% by 2011.

When last held in 2007, PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL attracted some 18,000 visitors from 60 countries and 285 exhibitors from 25 nations on 161,400 square feet of exhibit space. The event received very positive ratings from the exhibitors in terms of visitor quality (98% satisfaction), visitor quantity (92%) and participation (92%).
