Shelton, CT, August 2007 – Base-Line Inc., the leading manufacturer and distributor of press and prepress supplies, announced today the acquisition of Pennan Distribution, the leading producer of offset metal plates, and a diverse array of products for the graphics arts industry including ink jet media, chemicals, Digital and Conventional offset plates, films and prepress plastics.
The asset acquisition further expands Base-Line’s product offering and will enable the company’s dealers to access a wide range of high quality offset metal plates including the “LEGEND” offset plate for analog, Thermal and Violet CtP. The acquisition will also enable Base-Line’s dealers to receive lower distribution rates and streamline their operating costs by purchasing all of their press and prepress supplies from a single source.
