Printing Association of Florida Recognizes 96 Florida Printers, Graphic Arts Companies and Schools

Orlando, Florida, August 15, 2007 – The Printing Association of Florida (PAF) today announced that 94 Florida-based printing, graphic arts companies and schools were awarded at the Printing Association of Florida’s 20th Annual Florida Print Awards, August 4, 2007 at a banquet dinner held at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Orlando. The 2007 Best of Show Trophy winners included Coastal Printing, Sarasota: Best of Show, Division III; Franklin Communications, LLC, Miami: Golden Flamingo Award; Panther Print Solutions, Ocala: Best of Show, Division I; Southeastern Printing, Stuart: Best of Show, Division IV, and The Color Express, Hialeah: Best of show Division II.
“This year’s Florida Print Awards set a record number of company entrees and we are proud to report that we exceeded the previous year,” said George Ryan, president and CEO of the Printing Association of Florida. “This year, we recorded an impressive amount of entries from 84 printing and graphic arts companies as well 10 Florida schools.”
In addition to the Best of Show awards, sponsor trophies were presented in recognition of outstanding work in the following categories:
- The Benjamin Franklin Education Foundation Award: Best Use of Color in Design: Coastal Printing, Sarasota
- The Clear Choice Laminating Award: Best Special Treatment: Coastal Printing, Sarasota
- The Eastman Kodak Company Award: Best of Show, Division II: The Color Express, Hialeah
- The FUJIFILM Graphics Systems USA Award: Best Printer’s Self Advertising: Original Impressions, Miami
- The Graphics of the Americas Award: Best Web Press: Procoel SA de CV, Colonia Iztacalco, Mexico
- The GraphicsPAC Award: Best Stationery Set: Hall Printworks, Inc., Tampa
- The Heidelberg USA Award: Best Annual Report: Southeastern Printing, Stuart
- The Hewlett-Packard Award: Best Digital Printing: Lauderdale Graphics, Miramar
- The Komori America Corporation SE Award: Best Process Color Printing:  Coastal Printing, Sarasota
- The Mac Papers, Inc. Award: Best of Show, Division IV: Southeastern Printing, Stuart
- The MAN Roland North America Award: Best Art Reproduction: Procoel SA de CV, Colonia Iztacalco, Mexico
- The Pitman Company Award: Best Poster: R.R. Donnelley Company, Orlando
- The Printing Association of Florida Award: Best of Show, Student Division: Sean Yagla, Deltona High School
