RedTie to unveil a unique solution at Dscoop

Press release from the issuing company

Feb. 14 2008 - Brand new to the US digital printing market and platinum sponsors of Dscoop, RedTie Ltd will be unveiling two unique web-to-print software solutions at the conference: an instant quotation tool - RedTie Quotation-(RTQ) and a marketing template system - RedTie Template -(RTT).

Together, these solutions are helping blue chip giants such as HP and Suzuki, and independent print companies alike to drastically cut costs and maximize output. In an increasingly environmentally conscious world, Red Tie's solutions also help to eliminate waste and surplus by offering a purely on-demand system of ordering.

In 2007, HP reported significant savings year-on-year in overall marketing costs using the system, yet increased the marketing material produced by 39%. This was due to more targeted marketing, less waste and the eradication of obsolete material as a result of using the RedTie solution.

The system was created and developed with the challenges that printers face in a digital age specifically in mind. It was clear that there was a huge gap in the market for a simple, fast and cost-effective web-to-print solution. RedTie's software completely dispels the misconception that web-to-print is a difficult method to implement and use, instead promoting the fact that the outlook for printers is much brighter if they are able to offer clients high quality printed material direct from the web.

Following the success of RTQ and RTT in the UK, Red Tie have chosen Dscoop to launch the product to the US print market. A proven hit in Europe with clients such as HP, Suzuki, SAGE and Royal Mail (UK Postal Service) Red Tie are now helping print companies to tangibly grow their businesses.

The most exciting element of RedTie's solution is it's simplicity, enabling printers to add web-to-print to their portfolio of services with little more than access to the internet and a day's training. There is no IT specialist required, no special hardware and material can be produced, ready to print from a whole range of formats (including high res PDFs, Jlayout and PPML.)

The software has been so well received in Europe that it is in great demand from print companies that own both digital and Litho printers. RedTie is dedicated to educating the market about the possibilities of variable data, on-demand print. It has franchised the software to printing companies wishing to offer web-to-print and digital printing services, enabling other printers to take this first step into digital printing.

HP are using the system across regional Graphic Arts sales teams in the UK and Europe and are excited at the prospect of RedTie introducing the solution to the US market at Dscoop.

Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager, Indigo division, HP and keynote speaker at DScoop, says,

"The software solution that RedTie has developed has provided a centralised solution for our sales teams to order timely, personalised and relevant print on-demand. Since rolling out the solution in the UK, we have had some excellent feedback from our sales force and to date the trial is going well."

"In addition, the software is proving to be a valuable tool in our sales process – our HP Indigo sales force is using the software as a sales tool to help introduce the web-to-print concept to customers considering purchasing an HP Indigo digital press."

"The growth of demand for digital printing is phenomenal, and web-to-press solutions are revolutionising the way companies do business," said Marian Stefani, managing director, RedTie Ltd.

"There are a lot of misconceptions that web-to-print solutions are complicated to use and expensive to install. We want to dispel these misconceptions. RTQ and RTT are user-friendly, quick to install, and unlike many similar solutions on the market, they are very cost-effective."

"Digital printing changes the way customers think about buying print and creates new ways of measuring success," adds Marian. "With our web-to-print application, print service providers are now able to offer added-value services, without having to outlay large amounts of money for complicated and unnecessary software solutions. By providing fast, uncomplicated routes to print, digital technology can open new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing customers and maximise profitability."

"With added functions including automatic database distribution, on-demand ordering to reduce stock wastage, and online payment, the RedTie software is so much more than a digital printing solution, rather a full marketing package for small, medium and large companies alike," says Marian.
