Skywire Software Document Automation

Press release from the issuing company

FRISCO, TX - January 24, 2008 - Skywire Software, a leading global provider of software and services to the insurance industry, today announced the company has been named a leading provider of enterprise document automation solutions in the Celent report, Document Automation Solution Vendors for Insurers 2007.

The independent analyst firm studied eleven software vendors for the report, ranking them according to Celent's "ABCD" requirements: Advanced technology and technical flexibility, Breadth of functionality, Customer base, and Depth of client services. Skywire Software led or scored highly in all four categories.

Skywire Software's two leading document automation suites, Documaker and IStream, ranked among the highest in breadth of functionality of all products profiled. The company also was shown to be the largest provider of document automation for the insurance industry with more than 1,400 insurers worldwide.  Documaker has the largest installed customer base, with more than 1,000 insurers in North America, while IStream serves leading Group Life and Health insurers.

In addition, Skywire Software was one of only two vendors that ranked in the top quartile for depth of client services. Of the 350 employees who develop, implement, and support Skywire Software's document automation products, more than half are dedicated specifically to professional services and support. Insurance customers leverage the company's deep domain expertise and experience integrating insurance systems, with Skywire Software's employees averaging eight years of industry experience.

"Documaker is the most widely used document automation tool in the industry for a reason: it has a long history, a complete set of functionality, a stable product, and supports almost any infrastructure," wrote the report's author, Celent senior analyst Jeff Goldberg. "Insurers should rest assured that this is a modern system that will fit into their technology roadmaps."

The report also noted IStream's strength in personalizing complex documents using Microsoft Word. This has been a key driver for selection by Group Life and Health insurers, where IStream has developed a strong following.  The report cited IStream as "ideal for clients who are dealing with contracts or other documents that once generated from a template, will go through  multiple rounds of alterations."

"The Celent report validates Skywire Software's position as a market leader of document automation software to the insurance industry, with a depth and breadth of domain and technical expertise that no other vendor can match," said Wendy Gibson, chief marketing officer at Skywire Software. "It also further demonstrates our commitment to focusing squarely on the needs of insurers.  We are proud to be recognized as a top document automation provider for the industry. Both Documaker and IStream are enterprise architected for high volume and high complexity delivering superior document automation capabilities for our customers. We remain committed to continuously investing in both our products and our talent."
