Heidelberg Offering Prinect Image Control with integrated Prinect Quality Monitor software

Press release from the issuing company

December 12, 2007 - Heidelberg is now offering its high-end color measuring and control system Prinect Image Control with integrated Prinect Quality Monitor software. This function enables easier and faster quality analyses of print products during the production process. As a result, printers can now access all key quality parameters such as dot gain and color deviations for each measured sheet at the touch of a button and can also see at a glance whether the values match in-house quality standards.
In conjunction with Prinect Workflow, Prinect Image Control also automatically identifies both the position and type of quality control strips and mini spots. Navigation has been made even simpler through the further optimization of ergonomic user interfaces and menus. Moreover, further improvements to image control functions enable process-related influences on tonal values to be stabilized more effectively on the basis of information gathered from both the quality control strips and the print image.
"Fast inking-up supported by automated color management is increasingly becoming a key competitive factor for print shops. The new version of Prinect Image Control is key to this process and its extended functions make it pivotal for analyzing quality in prepress and press stages," explains Jörg Bauer, Vice President of Prinect Product Management at Heidelberg.
Older Prinect Image Control systems can be updated with the new software functions if desired.
