Objective Advantage Offers Live Demonstration Of Complete End To End Workflow

Press release from the issuing company

Houston, TX. 10th August 2007.  At Graph Expo 2007, specialist print software developers Objective Advantage (OA), will launch Version 1.4 of OASymbio, its comprehensive suite of easy to use production management tools, which integrate and automate all aspects of the printing plant.  OASymbio V1.4 contains a number of technical enhancements to facilitate easier integration, and several user benefits to further simplify workflow operations. These include new administrative features to assist in maintaining and cross referencing job templates, a new web service feature for initiating jobs and automatic transmission of job instructions from OASymbio Desktop to OASymbio Server, eliminating the need to reload files.
Also on its booth (#4840), Objective Advantage will present live demonstrations of a complete end-to-end print workflow, from initial customer order through to final shipping, using OASymbio V1.4.  Visitors can watch live print jobs progress through the workflow with maximum automation of each step, to achieve increased production efficiencies.
Objective Advantage has teamed up with key industry partners Canon, Duplo, Enterprise Print Management Solutions (EPMS) and Pageflex to deliver the live workflow demonstrations on the OA booth.   Visitors can choose from several different themed greetings card designs and order up to 50 cards, with the capability to personalize their greeting on the card, giving them end samples that they can use for the forthcoming holiday season.
Card orders will be initiated via the Pageflex web-to-print solution. The order will then be transmitted to OASymbio, which will link into the MIS system provided by EPMS.
OASymbio then transmits all the job instructions to the press and finishing devices.  From there attendees can watch as the cards are automatically imposed and printed on a Canon imagePRESS C1 print engine without operator intervention, and go through automated finishing on a Duplo DC-645 Production Color Finisher.
The finished cards will be bundled and taken to the shipping station, where all delivery details have already been transferred via OASymbio, so that the cards can be packaged, a pack-list and shipping label produced automatically, and finally shipped to the visitor at their specified destination at the end of the show.
Visitors to the OA booth can also order a photo book choosing from various themes provided by Digilabs.  Once the attendee has selected the book, the complete job instructions are transmitted to OASymbio to EPMS’ MIS system, the Canon imagePRESS C1 and the Standard Horizon APC-M61IISB Automatic Hydraulic Cutter. The finished books will then be sent through the Unibind binding system before moving to the shipping station where an automatically printed shipping label will be added.
Additionally, OA will be demonstrating how OASymbio makes automation possible on the Canon USA stand (#2400), the Duplo USA stand (#3822), the HP stand (#1229), and the Standard Horizon stand (#2246).
